About Us
Our Story
The Skin Docs Dermatology was opened in July 2020 by a husband and wife team, Dr. Jonathan Bellew, DO and Karisa Son, NP-C, five days after getting married in the middle of a pandemic. Before they knew each other, Dr. Bellew and Karisa each started out in internal medicine and primary care but always dreamed of working in dermatology. Dr. Bellew met Karisa in 2018 while he was in the midst of completing his second residency in dermatology. On their first date they realized opening a dermatology clinic together might one day be a dream come true. Many years of working as employees for health corporations and private practices inspired them to open a dermatology practice that would deliver the best elements of holistic, personalized care to patients from every walk of life, with a deep understanding of the skin and its dynamic relationship with the health of the whole body.
